Yachting in Croatia
Croatia is a small country located in Southern Europe. Its Capital
is Zagreb. Croatia is famous for its many national parks, Adriatic
sea and with a very rich coast with so many natural harbors and the
navigators call her heaven on the Earth. Croatia has a mixture of
climates. Continental climate in the north and east, Mediterranean
along the coast and Highland climate in the south-central region.
Croatia consists of over 1200 islands varying in size. If you love
Yachting than is Croatians Adriatic sea good choice for you. The
best season for sailing is in May and June. There are good winds
in that time. In July and August you can also enjoy sun and refreshing
sea. Autumn and winter are , because of north and south wind, ecstatic
for “sea wolfs”.

most important city and Capital in Dalmatia. It is situated on a
small peninsula on the eastern shores of the Adriatic sea. Although
the beginnings of Split are usually linked to the building of Diocletian”s
palace which is made in 3 th century. Split has many harbors like
Lucica Spinut and gas station. Front of the Split are so many islands

Brač
Brač is famous with his small town Bol on the south of the island. Bol is renowned
for its beach the Zlatni rat ("Golden cape"). His small nose is
moving according to wind left or right. There is also town Milna with 2 marinas
and 1 ACY marina and is gas station there.
Brac is also famous with olive oil.
Hvar
The island measures approximately 80 km, east to west and is a tourist
destination. For Yachting is also very nice to see Pakleni otoci
which are near to island Hvar and they have ACY marina. Hvar has
Tiha bay, this is small bay were you can find a shelter because
it is very peaceful place and nice for swimming, and near to town
Starigrad (Faros). Hvar is famous with lavender plantar.

Kornati
Kornati is located in central Dalmatia and is National Park south
of Zadar. With 150 islands in a sea area of about 320 km2 Kornati
are the densest archipelago in the Mediterranean sea. Kornati is
the biggest of the islands, comprises two-thirds of the park's
land area. Although the island is 25.2 km long, it is not wider
than about 2.5 km.
Brioni
Brioni are a group of twelve small islands in
the Croatian part of the northern Adriatic sea near Pula. They are
also National park
famous for their scenic beauty and Tito. He has his residence there.

Pag
Pag is an island in northern Adriatic sea near Zadar. It is one with
the longest coastline. Throughout the centuries salt extraction,
sheep breding, fishing and agriculture have been the basis of survival
on the island. And today is Pag big touristic place and one of
most visited islands in Croatia. It is very famous with cheese
production, and big parties in town coled Zrce.
Krk
Krk is the largest island in the northern Adriatic sea near Rijeka.
It is famous with his big bridge and airport. Krk has so many nice
places to Yacht, swim and enjoy nice Christal water. So many beaches
and tows are to found there.

Dubrovnik
Dubrovnik is a historic city on the Adriatic sea in the extreme south
of Croatia. ”Pearl of the Adriatic” is his nickname. Dubrovnik is
a tranquil touristic and cultural center hosting many musical,
art and theater events year round. Dubrovnik and his surroundings
with beautiful islands have lot to offer in touristic activities
for younger generations also. Climbing on steep hills, hiking through
the Mediterranean nature, paddling and swimming in clean transparent
sea is what is also part of fun in Dubrovnik. Near to Dubrovnik
is national park island Mljet.
Mljet
Mljet lies south of the island Peljesac from which it is divided
by the Mljet Channel. It has many chasms and gorges and it is foul
with volcanic origin. Babino Polje is the longest gorges who connects
the north and south of the island. Port Polače is the principal
harbour in the north, is a port of call for tourist ferries.
Jabuka (Apple)
This is one of the smallest island in Adriatic sea therefore is called
apple. Jabuka is the last island in Adriatic sea and it is on the
boarder with italian sea. Nobody can live there except black lizards. |
